Is it worth watching?

What is reality television nowadays?  People all over the world seem to enjoy it and so do I.  It is something I would watch every now and then because it is exciting and it has a lot of drama.  Drama is something I like to watch when I am bored, and also bored with my life.  I like to watch how other people embarrass themselves on live television and they honestly do not even care about it.  I would have to give them two thumbs up for being for brave, even though they do get paid for it.  Honestly, sometimes I do think reality television is benefiting our society.  It just depends on the kind of show, like Jon&Kate Plus 8 and shows about animals.  Some shows are actually great, because they help the community, and some even make donations.  There are reality television shows like “Deadliest Catch” and “Cajun Shrimp” that shows their viewers an idea of what their job is like, and how hard it is just to catch some of the simplest dishes on our tables.  So not all reality television are harming our society as some people would have to disagree with.
Reality television is definitely a guilty pleasure for me, it is something I enjoy watching whether it is about someone’s life or about nature/animals.  I watch a lot of television hence, reality television does give me more choices to watch.  When I get tired of one show, I can always watch another and another, and so on.  The options are endless when it comes to reality television.  There are shows about famous people, people who are looking for love, how people catch animals, how people live day to day with their disabilities, how people go through life threatening situations etc.  For some people reality television is bad, but there’s more to it than shows like “The Jersey Shore”.  Therefore, reality television is definitely something I would miss if it was taken away from me.  Would you say the same?
The only thing I do not like about reality television is that some people are getting paid for just being unwise. I do sometimes think reality television is harming our society because they get caught on camera that thoughtless things some Americans do.  Creating drama with their family, their love lives are on blast, and their career.  These people sometimes have no privacy, as what I would think.  They have so shame; their ugliest and best times are caught for the entire world to see.  Just only for the shows that are popular like “the Jersey Shore” and “The Kardashians”.  I don’t dislike shows like these because it is interesting to watch how other people lives their lives and I enjoy the drama.  Sometimes I can compare it with my everyday life or how sometimes I wish my life can be more fun and careless as theirs.

People change over Time...

Sometimes change is good and other times, it is not.  But who are we to judge others behaviors?  Since freshmen year in high school, I met a girl who have become my best friend over the years, and I always thought of her as a sister.  She was generous, polite, entertaining, energetic, and cool.  She would always be the person I would tell my deepest darkest secrets too.  The one who always had my back for anything, we had fought and got angry with each other for a long time.  As times past I began to become blind and not see how she have changed.  She used to be “the one” I can always count on, and the one I can trust most.  She have lost my trust, she did the most stupid thing I have even see her done.  This has happened gradually over time and I was too blind to even notice it.  My other friends had disliked her and even called her names but I have had her back and said that what was going on was not true.  That if they did not see it with their own eyes, then they should not spread rumors.  I told them that they should not say stuff like that because they would not like it if someone else was saying the same about them.  My friendship with her has changed and affected those around me because we were once all mutual friends, now we are two different groups of friends.  She has a separate group of friends and I continue to hang out with the friends who dislike her.  Sometimes I wish we can all just get along, and be as one.  We are still friends today because we put our differences aside and talk about it.

Happy meal

Looking back on my childhood, fast food was definitely a treat for my family and I.  My parents always worked hard to provide my sister and my brother everything that we needed, including any food that we wanted to eat.  Money was limited so my mom have always cooked food at home, which was fine but I would always think about the happy meal that was served at McDonald’s.  Oh how I could not wait to eat the delicious food inside a funny shaped bag. Every now and then, if my siblings and I got good grades, they would treat us to pizza, McDonald's, or anything that we wanted.  When I was younger I loved eating pizza and ordering the happy meal from McDonald's because the happy meal had a cool toy in it.  My happy meal would usually have chicken nuggets, a hamburger, French fries, and a soft drink.  What kid does not like chicken nuggets?  It was more of a treat to me growing up because I know that I have earned it and it was about time to appreciate it.  At the time I did not think much of it, other than it was good, it was a place and play, and had quality family time.

Now that I am older, on occasion I would have some fast food.  I do not rely on it, or nor that I think of driving through the drive through window to get some fast food.  I usually cook my own food which consists of mostly vegetable and chicken/beef.  I usually eat a lot of rice as part of my diet.  I do like fast food, but now that I am older, I have to watch the way I eat.  When I am in a hurry, which is rare, and need to eat fast, I would get some fast food and eat it while running errands.  Still, fast food is often a treat to myself because it is something I do not have often.  I love cheeseburgers and French fries, it’s such a great combo to eat together.  Even though I love cheeseburgers and French fries as much as I do, it’s not a food that I would eat occasionally.  Fast food does not play a big role in part of my life, I usually have it about once a month.  Even if the commercial comes on telling me to get some, it is something I would look past.  When I go out with my friends, we wouldn’t get fast food and it’s not a suggestion of where we would eat.  I guess if fast food ran out of business I would not miss it and crave for it as much as others who rely on it.
